Sidewalk Art~

Today we had another successful sunny Sunday here in the Pacific Northwest!
We cleaned up the patio
{my chickens have been out for a few weeks}.
I finished rearranging my living room...I will post on that soon~
I washed our bed linens and was 1/2 tempted to hang them on the clothes line to dry...but though its sunny it is still a bit breezy! (58degrees)
We BBQ'ed some steak and had broccolli salad and homemade a mushroom, onion risotto.
Hubby and I poped a bottle of wine....and had a relaxing time!
I will post the recipe for my Mushroom and Onion Risotto soon!

After dinner.... I headed outside to take pictures of the girls!

My two little sidewalk artist were dressed in their new hats I bought from the Salvation Army
 {my favorite store}
Jackie was so funny.....she said, "Mom, I need a little rock!"
I said, what for?
She said, "for my hopscotch!"
Yes.......that is Jackie on her microscopic hopscotch game! LOL

Jackie drew this beautiful flower!

Little Miss Olivia lookin cute~

Have a great rest of the weekend~

Gifts From The Heart~

This year Noah (my 7yr old homeschooler) is making gifts with air dry clay by Crayola for everyone. He is busy painting some of them now! He made about 8 things so far and I think the recipients of his gifts will be pleased!

The Dandelion Dance~

Last weekend I saw a lone dandelion in my patio container....so with my camera in hand I told Jackie(3) to pick it.
That was all it took to get my barefoot flower child to start dancing for the camera! I was so filled with utter JOY that I started to cry. I'm tearing up right now! Jackie has such a free spirit!

Don't you see that children are God's best gift?
the fruit of the womb his generous legacy?
Like a warrior's fistful of arrows
are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
with your quivers full of children!
Your enemies don't stand a chance against you;
you'll sweep them right off your doorstep.
Psalm 127:3-5 (MSG)

Now that the dance is done its time to run barefoot across the warm pavement! She just loves to feel the wind in her hair and the earth under her feet! Jackie is a bubbly girl so full of life!
Just looking at her makes me so HAPPY! She brings much JOY to my heart!

God is good....so good to me. That is why I give him thanks and praise! He has truly blessed me beyond my wildest dreams!

I am totally amazed at the talent of ALL my kiddos. My daughter Jackie was so happy to dance for me! WOW! I love that girl!

Well...have an Awesome weekend.... and thanks for stoppin' by my blog!

My weekend will be full of tea parties, baseball games and church...maybe some backyard relaxation! (and sorting and reorganizing my home school stuff and putting together some new shelves.) I plan to home school Noah next year!

What is everyone else doing this weekend? Leave me a comment! I love hearing from you all and I love to make new blog friends! So don't be shy....say Hi!

Remember your children are one of God's finest blessings!

Warmly,

Picture Of Santa~

Jackie loves to paint and make art. Last week while I was writing a post for my blog, she was painting.....the house was quiet.....each of us busy into our work....then Jackie started to laugh. The laugh soon turned to a giggle, she could not stop. Her hand was in front of her mouth,as the sound of squeals of joy came from within.

So I turned to see what she took so much delight in.....it was her painting. It was a picture of Santa...he had slipped on some ice and his nose was pointing up. She could barely talk she was laughing so hard! Then we both laughed.

Anytime she looks at her painting and talks about it she laughs and giggles all over again. This piece of art will be framed a hung in the front room to remind us of our cherished memory! I love children's art...they are so free with their expression!

Can you see Santa in the picture? I can...its a sort of abstract art...good job and she is only 3 1/2.

Peace and Prayers,
Georgiann
