Mother's Day Planting and Jackie's Birthday!

My wonderful Hubby and the girls bought me a few plants from the high school horticulture plant sale to add to the garden...

2 tomato plants, a pepper, cilantro and a sunflower.

I bought a bunch of plants last week but have not had the energy to weed....I mean dig out grass covered garden beds to make room for my plants.

I bought broccoli, cauliflower,cabbage and a few zucchini.

With only about 3-4 weeks until baby arrives, I have not wanted to stoop over the garden beds.

My back just hurts thinking about that!

I just got over the flu that lasted about a week and struggled to keep my blood sugar stable.

Happy 7th Birthday Jackie!

My sweet girl is 7 today!

We sang and had icecream and cookies last night. Jackie also recieved her presents a day early because Noah has a baseball game tonight so we will be home late!

For dinner tonight Jackie and the kids will have popcorn shrimp and mac and cheese per Jackies request!

Here's a funny story....

Jackie got some new Easter shoes.

I let her get these little 2 inch high heeled sandles (wedge).

I really did not want her to get them.....you know not wanting her to grow up to fast.

Well, Saturday night after Mass she was getting out of the car, with shoes in hand.

She said, mom we can give these shoes to Goodwill or to Olivia because they hurt my feet!

I said, welcome to womanhood and high heels!

We both laughed!

She now does not want to get anymore highheels!

Birthday celebration {part 2}

Auntie {my sister} made this cake for us to take home and celebrate with!
After a nice tea party over at her house we came home for a nice family salmon dinner,cake and a few more gifts!
 {my hubby caught 2 large fish}



We had a hard time finding candles so we lite super tiny one and it kept going out!



Olivia got the Melissa and Doug cupcake set to add to our growing collection!

My now have the cookie, apple pie, sandwich and cupcake sets!

So fun!

This is the shirt my sister bought Olivia for her birthday....she totally loves it!

After recieving it,she striped her dress off and wore just her shoes,tights and her new shirt!

Life is Good! lol

We had a great time at my sisters house! We ate lunch,had tea and sweets,walked our dog {yes,Jasper also got to go!} and played Frisbee. It was a nice warm day!
We came home in the late afternoon for more celebrating {salmon dinner at home} and a few more gifts! Tomorrow I will post the other fun Melissa and Doug toy Olivia got for her birthday!

Happy Birthday Olivia~

Olivia is 3 today!

We are going over to Aunties {my sister}  house this morning 
for a tea party to celebrate!
Tonight I will cooking up some salmon
{hubby caught Saturday}
Tomorrow is our first meeting of the year for
 M.O.P.s
It will we a few days before I  have time to post again!

Its My Birthday~

Today is my birthday and hubby decided to take me and his parents out for a nice dinner (no kids)!
We bought the kiddos pizza then the 4 of us adults headed off to the Olive Garden to indulge!
I got my fill fast.....and had to box up over half my dinner!

We came home and watched Meet The Parents on TV. (It just got over)
I came on-line to see if Amy from Raising Arrows had her baby~ You are on my heart and in my thoughts and prayers (as you are every night).
Praying that your baby arrives soon and safely! :)

I had a wonderful birthday~
This morning my dog Jasper graduated from his Basic training class and we then enrolled in the Intermediate class due to start in 3 weeks!

My In laws will be leaving on Monday.......It will be nice to get back on a regular schedule once they are gone!
Grandpa had a cold when we arrived.....then Grandma got one.....then just as Grandpa started to feel better he came down with another cold!.......They then shared it with my 5yr old Jackie :(

Our State Fair is going on for another week. Hubby plans to take a few days off  next week and we will go one of the days! My kids love the hobby hall collections,art,quilts,veggie and fruits from the local granges! Oh how we love the fair!

Well its late here and my bed is calling~ so good night blog friends~

The Birthday Bike!

Happy 8th Birthday Noah!

    My youngest son Noah is 8!                             

For his birthday we decided to let him pick out a new bike....his bike from last year got stolen:{ !

Since today is FULL of appointments and other stuff, my Littles (Noah,Jackie and Olivia) and I

went yesterday to Walmart to let him get his Birthday Bike and his Birthday Cereal!

I rearly buy sugary cereal......but a tradition in our house is: everyone for their B-day gets to pick ANY box of cereal they want.

(I'm to refrain from gently telling them the store brand would be cheaper)lol

As part of this post I was going to put a cool hyper-link to the story of his birth......but after searching for it I realized I never finished writing my birth stories! (I think I only got to the first 3.....of 6.)

So I will have to work on that!

Oh.....I asked Noah what he wanted for his special birthday dinner?!
He answered TOP RAMEN! He said, Mom you never buy it anymore!
That is true I rarely buy it. Its is high in sodium and though it is cheap.....they seem to waste it!
They make way to much and if it does not get eatten right away it gets mushy!
My kids also like to eat it dry (crushed up) and it ends up every where!
My bed,the couch,rug,patio......mix with rain...not good!lol

Tonight if the rain holds off  we have 3 kids with baseball games!

 (yesterdays game was rained out for the 4th time)

Top Ramen will be a quick and easy dinner birthday dinner!

Did I ever mention going to the store is loaded with home school opportunities?

My girls love to bargain shop. At the pre-school level they can learn their numbers.

They love to count out produce and weigh it.

They love to help with ringing up our stuff.

 (when we are fortunate enough to get out of the store with only a few things!lol)

Older kiddos can write out the shopping list (spelling test)

Weigh produce......compare what is the better buy.

We all get to practice self-control and patience! lol

Well I'm off to start my busy day!

Happy Birthday~

Here's the birthday boy opening his cards!

The Birthday Boy had his dinner a day early! We had a FULL house with my sister, her husband and out of state company.....my nephew and his girlfriend up from Cali!

For dinner we had grilled carne asada meat (here in the Pacific Northwest we grill all winter even in the rain) on tortillas with ALL the trimmings of a Mexican dinner!
A big pot of homemade pinto beans.......salsa,cheese,lettuce,sour cream and sauteed onions and peppers!

We had strawberry lemonade and Thomas Kemper sodas!

For dessert I severed up a strawberry shortcake with homemade whip cream!

I don't have time to blog a long and mushy post today! I have a ton of errons to run this morning!

Happy 16th  Birthday Son~ I love you!

Beautiful.....and a Birthday Giveaway~

Today was just beautiful.....I teared up while taking pictures this morning of my sweet girl before the party!

Thank you Lord for such a beautiful girl....she is smart,funny and caring! I'm am truly blest to be her mom and I don't take that for granted! We had an awesome day with friends and family!
