Baby Belly and Snowy Day Fun~

My 22 week baby belly!

I am hoping to chat here at bit more often.....I pray my blog friends have not given up
on me and will stop in and give me some blog-love at least from time to time!
I have missed coming here and spilling my thoughts! Life in a large family is quite busy and chasing a 18mo old and being pregnant with my 9th (8th on earth) at age 45 is tiring!

Bean Boy is now 18 months!

Olivia my snow angel! (and home-school girl)

Jackie my home-school girl!

Beautiful Weekend

We finally did it! Took the kiddos to Mt. Rainer that is.
Hubby and I had been talking about venturing up to the beautiful snow covered peaks for quit a while.
"I wanted to eat some chicken and walk in the wildflowers like I did as a kid" I told Hubby.
The Littles, Hubby and I excitedly got our warm clothes ready to head up into the mountain we hold so dear.
(1hr 1/2 away)
What we forgot was we would be above the cloud cover and the weather up there would be HOT!
Not overcast like at home.

We drove up and found a picnic spot and just ate tale gate style.
Jackie had a stomach ache....she felt better after eating some lunch.

We saw waterfalls......my favorite thing.

Hubby and Noah navigated our destination on the map.

We got to Paradise and it was wonderful!
The weather was very warm and I was dressed in winter clothes. Not layers:(
I had on polar fleece socks and rubber clogs!
I'm really out of shape too and the climb was up hill for quit a ways before letting up.
Hubby laughed and wanted to snap my picture before Ian and I went back down to wait in the lodge.
He thought it was hilarious that I did not even make out of sight of the lodge.

Hubby and the kids were gone for 2 1/2 hours.
All I was left with was Ian, his sun hat, a sling and a bottle with formula.
I never take the chance that I will have enough breast milk.
Things are getting better and I did breast feed while we were there.
Oh and I also had $10.00 and the extra batteries in my pocket to be used for my camera that I gave to Hubby as we parted.
I had no burp cloth, diapers etc...they were in Hubbies back pack.
I had to use paper napkins when he spit up.
I had no way to get into the truck, but managed to get a drink from the ice cooler in the bed.

I took this picture just before we left to go home.
The lodge was closing so it was empty but during the day it was FULL.

I had lots of time to make friends with 3 other new mommas that were waiting for their crews to return back to the lodge. I had a joyous and peaceful time.

1 gal had 6mo old boy/girl twins and a 4yr old girl.
1 gal had a baby girl born 2 weeks after Ian and also had a 4yr old girl.
1 gal had a 3mo old girl.
Another gal was there with her herd of 3 boys ages 2,5 and 6.
We all sat in the far living room, had meaningful conversation and breast fed our babies.
It was so lovely and awesome!

I'm posing with the wildflower bouquet Jackie picked for me.

Hubby took some wonderful pictures before the batteries went dead!

I took this picture as we ate our tale gate dinner before heading home!

Ian watching closely as dad handed out cold JO JO potatoes left from lunch.

This was a big no-no I'm sure but Jackie picked one of every kind of wildflower for me.
She knew I really liked wildflowers. Thank you Jackie!

The clouds were rising as we drove down the mountain in the evening.
The sun was a settin'
The perfect end to a beautiful day.

I wanted to post these pictures yesterday but I seemed to have caught a cold on Sunday. As we drove home my ears and head were clogged up and I was feeling very run down.
I'm glad I did not go on the LONG walk with a baby to carry.
Yesterday I spent resting and a dear friend brought us dinner.
Pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy corn spoon bread, salad and homemade snicker doodles cookies.
Thank you Nancy, it was yummo!

weekending

Have you ever just sat around on a Saturday and spent most of the day trying to decide what you want to do?

Well hubby wanted to drive to the mountains to go see a waterfall and have a picnic with me,the dog and kiddos.

Well the problem with that idea is he could not find exact directions to the falls.
SO I could just picture:

Getting lost
big fight
hungry momma and kiddos

SO we ended up with my plan for now....and hope to get directions to the falls and an earlier start to the day on another weekend.

So what was my plan?

A chicken picnic at the beach.
A walk along the pier with our dog and kiddos!
Then go watch Jarett's baseball game.

Just moment after dressing Ian in his new shorts outfit and taking this picture, he spit up all over it.

I pray you all had a fun and safe weekend!

Mother's Day Planting and Jackie's Birthday!

My wonderful Hubby and the girls bought me a few plants from the high school horticulture plant sale to add to the garden...
2 tomato plants, a pepper, cilantro and a sunflower.

I bought a bunch of plants last week but have not had the energy to weed....I mean dig out grass covered garden beds to make room for my plants.
I bought broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and a few zucchini.

With only about 3-4 weeks until baby arrives, I have not wanted to stoop over the garden beds.
My back just hurts thinking about that!
I just got over the flu that lasted about a week and struggled to keep my blood sugar stable.

Happy 7th Birthday Jackie!

My sweet girl is 7 today!

We sang and had icecream and cookies last night. Jackie also recieved her presents a day early because Noah has a baseball game tonight so we will be home late!

For dinner tonight Jackie and the kids will have popcorn shrimp and mac and cheese per Jackies request!

Here's a funny story....

Jackie got some new Easter shoes.
I let her get these little 2 inch high heeled sandles (wedge).
I really did not want her to get them.....you know not wanting her to grow up to fast.

Well, Saturday night after Mass she was getting out of the car, with shoes in hand.
She said, mom we can give these shoes to Goodwill or to Olivia because they hurt my feet!

I said, welcome to womanhood and high heels!
We both laughed!
She now does not want to get anymore highheels!

Peace and Love,
Mom

Going On A Tree Hunt {2011}

Well as tradition will have it, we got our Christmas tree on the 2nd weekend of Dec.
My hubby's rule is we must be on our hunt for at least 45 min-1hour!
We always have a good time running around in the forest of groomed pines.

We found a few neat treasures on our trek.....a lady bug on a stump and a empty bird nest in a tree!

Noah really enjoyed giving Olivia a piggy ride though the trees.....being careful not to trip on stumps!

I had to play detective while we were out.....
We voted on our tree....the guys chopped it down.

Jacob and Nick carried our prized tree to front of the farm to pay.
After we hiked to the front of the farm I discovered Olivia did not have her cute hat on!

So off Jackie, Noah and I ran to find it.
I used my camera to help up out. Looking to see when she last had the hat on, so we could narrow our search! We found it in 5 minutes!

While we were getting our tree and heading back to pay, my mind drifted to thoughts of last years tree trek! I think Christian was trying to implant that day last year. I was feeling cramp and just 2 weeks later I found out we were pregnant! I was mentioning this to hubby and trying not to cry.
We decided we would drive into the near by town for lunch. Not know of any good place I decided to ask the folks working the Kettle Corn booth.
The gal asked if my name was Georgiann. I said yes. She then told me who she was.
She was the doula I used for Olivia's birth.
So we talked for a few minutes and I got her phone # again.
S. said she'd love to be my doula again!

S. then shared a sad story with me.........
She had 3 boys when I had her as my doula 4 yrs ago.
She then got pregnant with her 1st girl Lily.
Lily heart stopped beating 2 weeks before she was due.......it happened the day of her baby shower.
She now has another girl whom is now 16 months.

It was such blessing to run into her again.
God is good!

PS
My hair is looking terrible!
I need to color my hair as my light/gray roots are in the front 8 inches of my hair and the way I wear my hair it looks like I have red/orange fake hair attached to the back.
I am thinking of just chopping it all OFF!
What do you all think?
Hubby wants me to keep it long but its so thick and bushy!
