  1. Oh, how cute!

My favorite Thanksgiving recipe is my rosemary pecan cornbread stuffing -- yum-O! I think I have it posted on my blog somewhere... Here it is!

  2. Hi, Georgiann!

My favorite Thanksgiving recipe is really super simple. I got it from my little sis and it's become a favorite in our household.

Open one large can of sweet potatoes (dunno the exact size, but it's bigger than the 15 oz ones). Pour them into a casserole dish (we use a big oval one).

Add in 1 can of chunk pineapple, one jar of marashino cherries and mix well.

Top with mini marshmallows and bake until brown and warm.

    Hope your readers enjoy!

  4. We started a new tradition last year, where, because of my parents' newfound freedom (aka RV), we combine our Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays and call it "Thanksmas". We celebrate early November and combine the feasting and bingo of Thanksgiving with the stockings and carols of Christmas. It's nice to have the holidays over for one side of the family so early.

  6. Hello, Georgiann! Thanks for popping into my blog this weekend. You have a lovely family and I enjoyed peeking around all 3 blogs you have!

I fear I haven't been willing to tackle cooking Thanksgiving dinner as we usually shuffle between my parents house or my husbands.

We do try to take a tradition along with us: enticing the family into a family board game! One of my favorite memories is playing Catch Phrase with my husbands now 86 year old grandma! The funny things we say around a board game making lasting memories.

  7. That's really cute Georgiann! :)

My husband's family has a wonderful tradition of having a yearly family reunion for Thanksgiving. All the relatives come from far and wide and they rent a building to hold the Thanksgiving feast because there are SO many people!

  9. Georgiann,
Our lives are kind of hectic with holidays and are usually always different due to whatever circumstances are coming our way at the time. But one thing we always try to do over the Thanksgiving holiday is draw names for Christmas presents. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of cooking, visiting and cleaning we just kind of try to make it through with our sanity intact. But afterwards (be it Thanksgiving day or even as late as Sunday evening) I write everyone's name on pieces of paper and we draw names. We have chilled sparklilng grape juice or cider and crackers and cheese together. The kids look forward to it all year. :-) Seems like such a simple thing but they always enjoy it so much. Sometimes I think they have more fun drawing names than actually opening the gifts!! :-)

    Blessings!

  11. How cute is that!? One of our favorite Thanksgiving traditions is to have someone who is not from our family to join us for dinner. We like to invite an extra person or two that may not have a place to go. It doesn't happen every year, but we always try to round some people up to join us!

  12. Thanks for stopping by and mentioning the giveaway! I've been away too long to catch up with all my blog reading:)

Our tradition is simply my husband's traditions! My mother in law would always fix a big turkey with all the fixin's and bake up some pumpkin and apple pies and we now do the same. My mother in law taught me how to cook a turkey so we've just recreated his family Thanksgiving dinner growing up.

  13. My favorite thanksgiving tradition is getting up early with the kiddos to start cooking for all of our family. The house smells of wonderful things and our normal routine is changed for a day or two! Holidays are in the air!

  14. What a cute towel. I definitely need another one of those.

I have to say that I like ALL Thanksgiving foods, except for most pies. Favorite? Turkey and homemade cranberry sauce!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  16. My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is just having all the family together. Family and Thanksgiving go together, sitting around the table before we eat and each of us saying what we are thankful for this year. God has blessed me with a wonderful family and many Thanksgiving filled with LOVE!!!
