The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Cake!

I so love to read this book with my kiddos!
Reading books with your kiddos is beneficial in so many ways!

Reading to your children......

Expands their vocabulary
Creates bonding and memories
Helps with thinking skills

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is my favorite childhood book, since first grade~
We have about 5 copies laying about our house!
I love all the holes in the book....such a cool idea! Saturday night and the page with the moon are two of my favorite pages!

My play date yesterday went good....I cleaned the house real quick and made a pineapple upside down cake..... delish!   So easy ....so good! My house smelt heavenly!

Have a terrific weekend!

Peace and Prayers,
Georgiann

  1. We LOVE that book too!! I read it every single day to my seven year old when she was about four - for months and months - she loved it and we made a fun game that made us both laugh ourslves silly when we read it!! Your cake looks yummy - I think I need to make one. We got another unexpected blast of snow last night - just in our area - right on the county line between King and Snohomish that gave us about 4 inches in an hour - so awesome (except for all the people who tried to drive up the very steep hill nearby and got stuck!!) So we have another day of sledding and snow gear to take on and off :0)!! Have a great weekend!!

    Blessings,
    Christine

  2. I've been so busy I havn't had time to stop by. Your girls have sure grown! So cute!

Sorry for your loss. I miscarried my first child at 9 weeks. It was a very hard thing to go through. My Dr and his staff were wonderful and that made the situation a lot easier to handle. Praying for healing... emotional as well as physical.

  4. Hi Georgiann!! We are close to the same age!! I just turned 44. Did you get any talk about your age related to your miscarriage? I am really not liking how even my midwife has mentioned my age so much - the funny thing is that in places like Hollywood - movie stars have babies at this age all the time because they put it off - I think it's also because we have lots of kids. I hope your party goes well - I have been hearing more and more about Scenty. I hope your power stays on. For some reason we live in a little pocket where the power almost never goes off - we are protected by a big hill - maybe that's why. We are having very high winds right now - if it gets windier I will start fussing about the HUGE trees that surround our area!! A tree fell on our friend's house two weeks ago. Have a fun party tonight!!

    Blessings,
    Christine
