Fancy Pear Recipe and Giveaway Reminder!

In a small bowl stir together:
1/2 cup cream cheese, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup honey
a pinch of salt and a dash of vanilla.

Take 6 pears......cut in 1/2 and core.
Lay pear halves cut side down on a plate and microwave for 2 minutes or until fork tender.

To serve:

Place a pear half on a saucer, put a
small dollop of cream cheese sugar sauce in the center of pear.
Top with homemade whip cream and chopped pecans and enjoy!

My kiddos just love these easy pears!
The cream cheese sugar sauce also makes a good dip
for apple slices!

Don't forget my giveaway ends Sept. 6 2010!
Just go to my giveaway post and leave me a funny story in my comment box! (story need not be long to win)

****Jennifer and Amy you are on my heart, mind and in my prayers as you approach delivery day!****

Peace and Love,

  1. Mmmmm! I love pears!! Another recipe to try for sure!!! You must be a fabulous cook. All your recipes look so good. I think this will be dessert for tomorrow.

  2. Yum, your pears look yummy. I have been knee deep in pears myself as my parents have 17 trees on their property (yikes!). My favorite use this year has been making pear nectar and freezing it. It's kind of like pear-flavored lemonade. I'm going to poke around your blog now. It seems like you've got some interesting recipes here :)

I read all my comments and love to know people are out there....I enjoy making new blog friends!
Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment!
