Pioneer Farm~ Part 3

Here are some....OK a bunch of pictures of the the Pioneer portion of our farm tour~

We got to walk through several log cabins all decked out with old artifacts of the times period!. It was fascinating to learn the history of who built each cabin and the families that lived in them back in the day. (some of the cabins were brought on site from other locations in the area.....they are the real deal....from 1880!)
We also got to go in a large modern cabin with a fire place for the hands on portion of the tour!
They did not have cabins back then that could hold 40 people at once.

The girls got to curl their hair with a old style curling iron, heated up via a oil lamp!

All the kids enjoyed dressing up in time period clothing, shredding cabbage for sauerkraut, chopping veggies with old time kitchen tools, churning cream into butter, rolling out dough for apple tarts, preparing the cinnamon and playing with old fashion toys!

I still have some pictures to post of our fun in the barn with all the farm animals and jumping in the hay pile!......So I will be back next week to finish with Part 4 of the Pioneer Tour!
I pray you all have a great weekend!

Warmest Blessings,
Georgiann
