Pioneer Farms~Part 2

~The Indian Village~

We had lots of fun on the Indian Village part of our tour!
There was a set of activities the kids could do for each season the Indians would have experienced!
Winter-indoor things ie: weaving and making crafts.
Spring/Summer hunting/fishing and smoking meats
Autumn harvesting berries and carving canoes and playing drums.
The kids could dress up, make a bracelet, weave fabric or a basket. They could shoot arrows, play ring toss games, sharpen their arrow head on a rock and check their animal knowledge with a flash card game that was hanging up.
There was even peace paint and powdering sun screen the kids could put on!
We got to spend about 30 minutes in each of the 3 stations, learning about what the Indians did to survive each season.
What a fun way to learn a history lesson!

Peace and Love,
Georgiann
