Blood Work Update~

I wanted to post the results of my blood test.
The test was taken to check my iron, thyroid and ovlatory function. Dr. E said, all was great! :)
For those that don't know....we have been trying for about a year to have another little one!
We have always left birth control up to the Lord.
(so the possibility to conceive was there even before we started "trying")

Dr. E said, that my nursing my tot (Olivia is 2 3/4yrs.) might have some to do with why we are not pregnant yet! He said, he would pray for us and to be patient.... and that maybe God has BIG plans for me?

Last night I took a pregnancy test and it was negative! :(  Then this morning I was greeted by Aunt Flo!

So, like waiting for yummy raspberries to ripen on the vine......patience is needed. The fruit needs time to sweeten....and though there are painful thorns that might get you from time to time, it is worth the wait! As my Dr. reminded me.......God has a plan for ME.
(I love my DR....he's a good Christian man)

I need to trust Gods plan for ME and be patient!

If you could....would you keep me in your prayers?

Thanks you ssssoooo much!

On another note: My weekend has been awesome!
(aside from Aunt Flo showing up, Jackie having a fever and me a chest cold)

Over the upcoming week I will post about the good things my weekend did have to offer!

Peace and Love~

  1. I'm glad everything looks ok. We've had a steady stream of blessings every two years. I think in a way I'd welcome the break if God decided to delay the next one;-) But I know how wonderful it is to know there is another gift on the way and I'm sure I'd get a little impatient if I were you! I'll be praying for you!

  2. Oh, I am so sorry to hear about the negative test followed immediately by AF. I know that feeling well since I am a zealous early-tester. It sounds as if you have a very patient and godly attitude. I am glad to hear that your blood work looks good.

I have found out that I cannot get pregnant while night-nursing. I don't know if this is the same for you, but our first 'baby' night nursed for 3 years and it was not until I cold-turkey night-weaned her that I got pregnant despite having my period for almost two years. My pattern, which is very common amongst nursing women, is that although my periods would appear normal length for the mostpart, the luteal phase (the phase after ovulation) is actually too short for conception. After nightweaning, my luteal phases quickly lengthen and I am normally pregnant within 3 months. I don't have to do anything different during the day, just nightwean, which I now do somewhere around 12-18 months.

I am praying for you, Georgiann. I know well the longing for another baby no matter how many you have had already. I think it might even make the longing stronger, though I know, like me, you feel intensely blessed and humbled by the children the Lord has allowed you to have thus far.
